According to Jennifer

Just turned 30. lovely Lawyer. Manhattanite relocated to the suburbs, but still a New Yorker. Shopping enthusiast. Always laughing. Puppy mother. Lover of life and good food. And for rhyming sake, also a new wife!

Ryan has been working literally nonstop for the past week. Late hours every night, and full weekend days. And when he’s not working, he’s been stressed about all the work he still has to do.
In full disclosure, I am not typically the most domestic girlfriend. Sure, I cook and clean but so does Ryan. I think it is as much the man’s job as it is the woman’s job to keep a house clean, to cook, to watch kids, and so on. Ryan agrees. Needless to say, we have very few disagreements about housekeeping.
But yesterday, I was feeling a little Betty Draper-ish (we just started watching Mad Men). I had the weekend free to relax, while Ryan had no free time. I wanted him to come home to a clean home with dinner on the table. I cooked the above spaghetti and turkey meatballs. I usually do beef but we’re on our health kick, so I went with 99% fat free white meat turkey. They weren’t as good as beef, but still quite tasty. Ryan was definitely surprised and showed his appreciation all night. He also did the laundry. I think we make a pretty good team.
