brokencistern-deactivated201103 asked: Have you tried Alice's Tea Cup? It used to be my favorite place to go for tea when I lived in the city. I've only been to the original location on the UWS, so I'm not sure if the other ones are as charming!

Penny-Wise, Pound-Foolish
I need to vent. Today, I went to Subway to get a sandwich and had such an awful experience. If I can avoid it, I plan on never eating at Subway again. I always order veggie delights because something about the meat they use at Subway turns me off. So, today, I’m at a Subway and I was feeling pretty hungry so I ordered a 12 inch veggie. I wanted to get american cheese and shredded cheese so I...

Let's do tea
Last night, Ryan and I decided to beat the cold by going out for tea! We went to Argo Tea Cafe, which is in the neighborhood, but we had never tried it. They had a great selection of hot and cold drinks, and interesting tea creations like red velvet tea. I ordered ChariTea which was hibiscus petals, dried cherries and vanilla. It was very tasty. Ryan had white pomegranate tea which was good, but...

A snowy night
Snow storm? Check. Hat? Check. Scarf? Check. Duck boots? Check. Ok! All ready to go!
Columbus Cirlce covered in snow.
White streets and golden trees.
My boy is covered!

As we wrote love notes in the snow.

Mmmmm.....
Oh the weather outside is frightful…but cooking can be so delightful! One of my favorite things to order at chicken is pan roasted chicken. I love how crispy and delicious it is. I’ve been wanting to make pan roasted chicken for a while, but couldn’t find the right recipe.
It was so freezing outside today, and Ryan and I were hanging out and thought it would be fun to try a...

Buses
Ummmmmmmmmm I flipped my shit on a bus driver today. Except I didn’t really because I couldn’t scream at him with the bus door closed. I ran a whole block to catch the bus, and the driver literally shut the door in my face. He shut the fucking door in my FACE and didn’t open it after I knocked on the door! So I followed him to the light and knocked on the door again, at which...

Chorus Tonight
Tonight was my second chorus rehearsal. I know I briefly mentioned the chorus before, but a few weeks again I auditioned for the NYC Bar Association Chorus (basically a chorus filled with legal professionals). We sing a variety of songs—show tunes, jazz, gospel, rock and roll.
So far, I’ve really been having a blast. It’s been so great to be able to sing again. It’s also...
